GTA V Release Date Leaked by UK Retailer?

As the GTA V release date has been a subject of major interest heading towards the holidays, video game fans were wondering if the game would be released in 2012.  Most reports shrugged that notion off, and now a “Grand Theft Auto V” listing on a UK website has been updated to reflect a 2013 release date for the game.

According to a report on Product-Reviews.net website on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, there was a change made to the UK website Tesco’s listing for the new game from Rockstar games.  They previously listed the new GTA game with a release date on December 28, but that has now been updated.  The new date shown along with the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game is March 29, 2013.  Screenshots are shown at the Product Reviews website comparing the two different listings as well.

As of this report, Rockstar Games has not come out with any announcement of an official GTA V release date for the highly anticipated new video game.  There is some speculation that either the Tesco website has leaked the date, or it is possibly a mistake.  Another rumor is that it could be a marketing strategy to try to lure in more pre-orders.  Also as of this report, Amazon.com’s United States version of their site has GTA V available for pre-order, but there is no release date listed yet.
